| The Red Lion is a 16th Century pub set in the beautiful village of Hinxton in Cambridgeshire. Here you can enjoy a drink, a light lunch or an evening meal in charming surroundings. Oak rafters imbue the restaurant with a rustic chic and high-backed settles allow diners to absorb the atmosphere or create their own intimate space. The specials menu changes daily, according to what fresh produce the local suppliers have in stock but typically you can find dishes like slow roast confit of duck with celeriac, spinach and a blackberry, redcurrant and port jus or an asparagus souffle served with red onions roasted in balsamic vinegar. The wine list is extensive and offers some real finds for passing wine-buffs. |
